Title: | GB-London: OPA T275/1391 OFD Loch Striven Diesel Transfer Pumping System Upgrade |
Notice type: | Competitive Contract Notice |
Authority: | The Oil and Pipelines Agency |
Nature of contract: | Not applicable |
Procedure: | Not applicable |
Short Description: | The OFD Loch Striven does not have an F76 fuel filtering system on site and the present pumping system requires the use of the Balance Tank. However, the Balance Tank has been removed from service and decommissioned rendering the existing F76 transfer pumps obsolete. In order to increase the flexibility of the site, there is a requirement to pump between tanks to allow for the complete inter-tank transfers of certain storage tanks. There is also a future requirement to filter off-specification F-76 fuel to allow re-use. In summary, this project is for disinvestment of old pumping system, removal for safe disposal and reimbursement to OPA, installation (including some design responsibilities) of two new electric driven pumps for tank to tank transfer and filtering of diesel, operated by variable speed drives. |
